FAQ

What is the difference between SFP and SFP+?

SFP and SFP+ differ in the maximum data transfer rate. SFP can reach up to 1Gbit/s. SFP+ reaches a maximum of 10Gbit/s.

Is SFP+ compatible with SFP?

Basically, SFP+ is backwards compatible. Backward compatibility is also possible, but the promised data transfer rate of, for example, 10 Gbit/s will not be achieved.

What do I have to pay attention to with 3rd party modules?

In order to be able to operate our transceiver on the respective switch, 3rd party compatibility must be activated. This is described in the switch's operating instructions.
